Our 2010 Fun Gala starts at 11.30 am on Sunday 28th March.

Special club activities for 2009

Sunday 5th April - Fun Gala
The Fun Gala is our major swimming event of the year and is held with the help of Eastbourne Lions. This event aims to involve as many of our members as possible. The Gala starts at 11.30am.

Pictured right is the Musical Corners elimination game which is played in the shallow end.

The 2009 event was won by the Yellow team. For more details see the Fun Gala page.

Friday 29th May 2009 - Annual General Meeting
The 37th Annual General Meeting of the Club was held in the EAVS meeting rooms off Saffrons Road, Eastbourne at 7.30 pm.
The Committee page has a photo of the Committee. At the meeting, the Club Shield award for 2009 was given to Fiona Ray and the Tim Morris Memorial Rose Bowl to Anita Gardiner.
Sunday 7th June - Fun Walk.
The sponsored walk started on the Western Lawns at 11.30 am and was organised by Eastbourne Rotary. We walked 3 miles, as far as Treasure Island and back.

Last year our team walked in pouring rain and we all got soaked to the skin but raised over £500 for our swimming club. This year the sun shone and when all the sponsor money comes in we should make over £700.

Saturday 22nd August - Barbeque.
Details of a lunchtime Barbeque are in the Summer Newsletter.

Christmas Party

We have had successful parties at the Congress Hotel in Carlisle Road since 2004 and we have booked again for Friday 11th December 2009.

The evening includes traditional Christmas dinner followed by a disco. A raffle and the Grand Christmas Draw are also held during the party.
