Our annual Fun Gala is on the morning of
Sunday 8th April with swimmers arriving at Motcombe Pool at 11am and the
gala starting at 11.30. Over the next few weeks we will be practising the
games and timing swimmers.
This is a very important club event as it
is our opportunity to showcase our club and a chance for both non swimmers
and swimmers to join in and have fun. Contact Rowena if you would like to
come to the gala, either to take part or to watch, so that you can be
included in the numbers for the picnic lunch.
As always we are very
grateful for the help of Eastbourne Lions who provide the medals, picnics
and extra man power.

* 11 am Doors Open

A warm welcome to all the new members who have joined recently and
breathed new life and fun to our Sunday swimming sessions.
Pool safety is paramount so remember, when you hear the pool alarm or a
long whistle blast you must all immediately stop swimming, go to the side
of the pool and await further instructions.
Your committee will be meeting soon to plan our 2018 events including
the Annual General Meeting and sponsored Seafront Stroll in the summer.
During January, Waitrose supported us with their Green Token scheme and
have donated £314 to our funds.
Remember the pool side collection box for weekly donations. We are able to
claim Gift Aid on small donations so every £1 of small change in the box
is worth £1.25 to your Club.
The Annual Draw made an impressive total of £665. This was an excellent
result so thank you to everyone who bought and sold tickets. The club
would also like to thank our sponsors LawlerDavis who donated the prizes.
